Indecisive Kitties

Cats have many wonderful qualities. They’re cuddly, playful, loyal, and lovable, and they certainly have their fair share of cute quirks! Just like people, sometimes these little furballs have a hard time making up their minds. In this article, a local Livonia, MI vet discusses indecisive kitties, and the decisions they seem to struggle with the most.

Indoors or Outdoors?

Let us preface this section by recommending cats stay indoors: they’re much safer! Outdoor kitties are exposed to dangers, including cars, predators, other kitties, and toxic plants. That said, if you do let Fluffy go outdoors, don’t be surprised if your furball seems to always think she’s on the wrong side of the door!

Attention or Privacy?

Another area where some kitties can’t seem to make up their minds is whether or not they want attention. Fluffy may demand cuddles, and purr loudly when being petted or picked up … only to change her mind after a few minutes and walk away.

Favorite Napping Zone?

Cats can sleep up to a whopping 20 hours a day. With all that napping, it’s no surprise that kitties often move from one comfy spot to another. Some furballs seem to change their minds about their favorite spots several times a day!

To Be Or Not To Be … A Lap Cat

Is your feline pal a lap cat? Kitties seem to have a knack for timing when it comes to these cuddle sessions. Fluffy may hop onto your lap just as you were about to get up. However, when you’re settled in and available to be kitty furniture for a while, she’ll ignore you and sleep on the sofa.

What Room To Be In

Have you ever seen your cat suddenly bolt for another room for no discernable reason? Did Fluffy just realize that she wanted to be in the bedroom instead of the living room? Sometimes our feline friends just can’t seem to decide where they want to be!

What To Eat

Does Fluffy sometimes meow for her supper, only to turn that cute little nose up at your offerings and ask for something else? Apparently, our feline friends can be indecisive about dinner as well!
